Dover Port Information

Famous for its white cliffs and majestic castle, Dover has for centuries provided the main link between the UK and mainland Europe. There are regular departures to Boulogne, Calais & Dunkerque.

Dover is the most popular departure point for travellers sailing to the continent with ferry companies such as SeaFrance, SpeedFerries, Norfolk Line and P&O Ferries all operating from the Dover port.

Getting There

Coming from the North, use the M20 then onto the A20. The M2 and A2 also lead directly to Dover. The ferry port is signposted clearly.

Dunkerque Port Information

Dunkerque is better situated than Calais, with direct links to the A16 and A25 motorways, for many French destinations. Sailing to Dunkerque also takes you closer to Belgium, Holland, Germany and beyond. As Norfolkline are the only ferry company sailing to Dunkerque there is much less congestion in the port ensuring a hassle free start to your well earned holiday.

Dunkerque itself is steeped in history, the mass evacuations of 1940 a particular highlight.

Dunkerque town has many excellent restaurants and shops and is well worth visiting.

Getting There

When coming from the direction of Belgium, Lille or Calais, make sure you get on the A16. Follow the signs for Dunkerque. Take exit 24 and go to the right at the end of the exit. Go straight on at the two roundabouts and follow the road until you arrive at the Norfolkline Terminal.
