Newcastle Port Information

Newcastle ferry port is easily accessible, located just 8 miles east of Newcastle City Centre.

The ferry terminal is located at Royal Quays dock. DFDS Seaways sail from Newcastle to Ijmuiden / Amsterdam (Holland), Kristiansand (Norway) and Gothenburg (Sweden).

Getting There

Newcastle ferry port provides a useful link to the continent from Scotland and the North of England.

From the West head towards the City, then follow signs for the coast/A1058.

From the North & South take the A19 to Tyne Tunnel roundabout which is north of the River Tyne.

The ferry port is well sign posted and is located in the Royal Quays.

Bergen Port Information

This is Norway's second largest city and the capital of the colourful Fjord country. DFDS offer two sailings a week from Newcastle taking approximately 26 hours and will arrive at the Skottegrunnskaien, the quay to the east side of the harbour.

Getting There

From the Ferry Port the RV7 is the fastest route to Oslo. Another route would be the E16 which takes you through the longest tunnel in the world - The Laerdalstunnelan. If on foot then the bus and train station are only a five minute walk east from the Ferry Port and they normally offer three departures daily.
