Newcastle Port Information

Newcastle ferry port is easily accessible, located just 8 miles east of Newcastle City Centre.

The ferry terminal is located at Royal Quays dock. DFDS Seaways sail from Newcastle to Ijmuiden / Amsterdam (Holland), Kristiansand (Norway) and Gothenburg (Sweden).

Getting There

Newcastle ferry port provides a useful link to the continent from Scotland and the North of England.

From the West head towards the City, then follow signs for the coast/A1058.

From the North & South take the A19 to Tyne Tunnel roundabout which is north of the River Tyne.

The ferry port is well sign posted and is located in the Royal Quays.

Stavanger Port Information

This is Norway's fourth largest city situated on the south west coast. The port area is surrounded by cobble stone streets and small wooden houses. DFDS sail twice a week from Newcastle making this its first port of call before travelling on to Haugesund & Bergen making this the shortest crossing of only 18 1/2 hours.

Getting There

The port is easily accessible by motorways E18 & E39 to either Oslo or Bergen. If on foot then the train station can be found in the center of town with the bus station located near by.
